I liked working with store associates and other shoe expeditors to reach the store's' goals.
What I wish was different
I was the only one in charge of changing sale signs, and prices throughout the floor, and it would have been helpful to collaborate with someone who could help.
Advice
I think that everyone who has a free summer should have a job, no matter in what field. Apart from the extra income, it teaches life skills and how to work with others.

I really loved my time at Macy's, everyone was so inviting and kind. The culture and environment really made it a fun place to work.

Store Management Intern

What I wish was different

Advice
Don’t be afraid to take matters into your own hands. One of the reasons I was treated as an equal by the other executives is because I wasn’t afraid to make my own judgement calls and be confident in my decisions. It was really scary and intimidating at times, but by doing this it helped me develop myself as a professional and a leader.
