Field Appraiser

The County Assessor’s Office seeks a fulltime (37.5 hours per week) Field Appraiser to perform real estate appraisals on existing, remodeled property or new construction including evaluation of all the components related to the premises. Investigate and make recommendations on protested valuations to the Board of Review.

 

High school graduate or equivalent with coursework in statistics, algebra, geometry, and training in building construction trade and two years of job-related experience which include public contact and legal records maintenance OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities. Previous real estate valuation training preferred.

 

Special requirements: Valid driver’s license and insurable under county liability coverage. State Appraiser’s license/certification preferred. Must pass background check.
