Library Media Specialist
Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for an Elementary Library Media Specialist. This position will begin in August 2021. The exact building placement is yet to be determined.
To coordinate library services provided by the school(s)* based on a district library plan; to collaborate with classroom teachers across the curriculum in the integration of library/technology. (*May serve in more than one building on the elementary level.)

This posting is for internal and external applicants (this also includes current BPS employees in support staff/ temporary/substitute positions). Current contracted part-time BPS teachers wanting a full time position should also complete the external application.

A teaching contract is 187 days. External candidates are allowed to bring in up to 12 years of contracted K - 12 teaching experience.
New Teacher Orientation for all teachers new to BPS is scheduled for August 2 - 6.
Qualifications:
1. LMO2 (Library Media Specialist) credential.
2. Valid ND teaching certificate based on a Bachelor’s degree with elementary, middle level, or secondary education.
3. Experience in automated library systems, current educational strategies and technologies, and administration of personnel.
4. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
Starting salary range: $46, 488 to $66,841
