Early Intervention Specialist

Applicant must have valid ND certification as a Registered Speech Language Pathologist or Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. This Early Intervention position requires working with children ages birth to three with developmental delays and their parents in families' homes, child care settings, or at local community spaces. Early Intervention services are delivered as a coaching model working with the child's primary caregivers to embed skills the child needs to learn into the child's daily activities in natural environments.
 
This position works 230 days over a 12-month period and requires travel within a 9 county area. Preference will be given to individuals who have experience working with children ages birth to three with developmental delays and their families.
 
Purpose Statement
The job of Early Intervention Specialist is done for the purpose/s of identifying infants and young children, birth through age three, who are eligible for EI services; developing and implementing a child/family plan of care; providing information and serving as a resource to others; and achieving defined objectives by planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines.
Experience:  Job related experience within a specialized field is required.
Education: Bachelors degree in job-related area.
Certificates and Licenses: Licensed Speech Language Pathologist or a valid ND teaching license in Early Childhood Special Education.  Maintains Certificates and/or Licenses 
Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Grade: PJ on the Professional Support Staff salary schedule.
Starting salary range: $69,037 to $73,269
