Provider Network Contracting Specialist – La Crosse, WI or Telecommute

The Provider Network Contractor (LHI) will assist the Provider Network Supervisor with quality service monitoring, performance feedback and prioritizing of daily tasks in order to meet departmental task initiatives. Foster communication between Provider Network Specialists and internal/external customers in a high volume, fast paced, deadline driven and goal structured environment. Provide support to staff in order to ensure that LHI’s contractual obligations and the departmental objectives are achieved.

In this role, you’ll use your expertise and analytical skills to help determine how clinical providers group up by specialty and service line. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support and develop staff in an effort to communicate with internal and external customers more effectively
  • Troubleshoot issues related to internal and external customers. Provide responses to Customer Satisfaction Surveys and Contract discrepancy reports after research of these concerns. Determine appropriate outcome of provider status based on research performed
  • Mentors/monitors the efforts for the recruitment and contracting of providers – including fee negotiation, manual assignment of orders and retrieval of missing exam documents
  • Implement and enforce policy and procedure modifications to Provider Network Specialists
  • Report task numbers and order status to department Supervisor and Manager
  • Participate in miscellaneous duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 1+ years related experience (provider relations, network management, customer service, negotiations)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, ability to lead the activities of others
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar)
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (word and excel)
  • Ability to convey complex information to others and make it more easily understood
  • Excellent team work and leadership skills; ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong analytical thinking; multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Medical, dental or healthcare insurance experience
  • Database experience
  • 3+ years’ experience with network or data management
