Director of Adult Education

The ABE Director will manage and oversee the federal Adult Basic Education (ABE) program under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Some responsibilities include coordinating federal laws, regulations, policies and guidance with state adult education efforts; providing program leadership and administrative and managerial technical assistance to local Adult Basic Education programs; and serving as the public spokesperson for the field of adult literacy.

Minimum Qualifications
5 years of professional experience working in Adult Basic Education
A bachelor's or master's degree and 4 years of professional experience working in Adult Basic Education.
Experience must include:
- Experience providing direct supervision to staff;
- Experience providing group facilitation/ presentations;
- ABE program evaluation and compliance experience;
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ABE reporting requirements;
