Support Technical Analyst III - Hennepin Justice Integration Program

THE POSITION
Hennepin County Justice Integration Program (HJIP) is seeking a Support Technical Analyst III to work as part of an IT Development team that builds and supports software applications and information exchanges for Public Safety business partners. This senior level position requires the ability to perform, oversee, and supplement change and release management, incidents, requests, and access management. This position will work as part of a self-organizing Agile team.

Location and hours:
This position will be located in the 701 Building at 701 4th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55415. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this position can be done remotely. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
 
About the position type:
This is a full-time, benefit earning position.

This position is eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $2,045.65 that can be earned annually based on performance.
 
In this position, you will:         
  • Lead and organize change and release efforts from development through production.
  • Lead efforts related to infrastructure upgrades and smaller support/enhancement efforts from analysis to implementation.
  • Provide backup to Level I and II customer support.
  • Collaborate with others to resolve complex and critical issues during during the escalation process.
  • Perform incident analysis, root cause analysis, and suggest improvement measures.
  • Participate in creating and maintaining the support knowledge base, such as service transition notes, known error documentation, post incident reviews, manuals, etc.
  • Contribute to expanding HJIP SharePoint site in support related areas.
 
Need to have:
  • One of the following:
  • Associate's/vocational/technical degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), information technology, or an approved information technology field related to the position and four years of information technology experience.
  • Completion of five college/vocational technical technology courses and four years of information technology experience. 
  • Completion of approved IT Hennepin County internship and four years of information technology experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an information technology field and two years of information technology experience.
  • Six years of experience in information technology.
  • Certification in ITIL Foundations.

  • Knowledge of:
  • SQL / relational databases.
  • XML messaging principals and tools.
  • SharePoint.
