Consumer Safety Officer
This Direct Hire position isin the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), located in Silver Spring, MD.
- Provides guidance and consultation regarding inspections and investigation methods and procedures necessary to accomplish compliance/enforcement/regulatory objectives.
- Conducts initial investigations and inspections of establishments in the area of assigned responsibility and prepares draft reports, investigation memoranda, and proposed or final endorsements.
- Analyzes results, decides when an investigation is complete or what additional work may be required.
- Prepares and presents informal remarks at briefings, training sessions, consumer industry workshops.
- Plans and decides if investigations should proceed, when the investigation is complete, and what reporting is required.
