Health Communications Specialist
This Direct-Hire position is in the Food and Drug Administration and is located in the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), in Silver Spring, MD.
Responsibilities
- Develops techniques to assess the effectiveness of the program public health communications and to develop and/ or improve communications products accordingly.
- Serves as a technical resource to assess, plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate existing, new and novel public health communication strategies to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Acts as a conduit for, and establishes direct information feedback loops, between Agency and program staff. Communicates messages and information to Agency.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with individuals and groups interested in or affected by the program, medical products and policies through creating meaningful, constructive, communication exchanges.
- Communicating policies, priorities initiatives, medical product information and other key messaging through a variety of venues.
- Demonstrates strong ability to accurately troubleshoot and resolve issues and perform analyses on issues regarding information to be disseminated to various stakeholders.
- Develops communications, including defining the intended audience, reviewing content, advising on the most effective method of presenting technical data and on the style and presentation.
