JOMI surgical video journal publishes long-form, expert-narrated, peer-reviewed surgical masterclasses - virtual shadowing experiences. The goal is to support/improve medical education for surgeons, students, OR staff and to improve health care worldwide.
Job Description
The ideal candidate for Medical Production Coordinator would be an organized and meticulous individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment (with risks and benefits to boot). Medical education or medical professional experience is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Managing/setting content strategy w/ editorial board by prioritising cases (interest, value, patient impact)
- Coordination of filmings
- Overseeing and participating in content post-production
- Coordination of video editing / production between the video and editorial departments
- Hiring / strategic expansion of editorial staff
Compensation
$2,000 cash per month + equity (based on your medical experience and contribution to JOMI)
Candidate Requirements
- Medical background needed (some medical school and beyond, or equivalent)
- Interest and/or experience in surgery and video education a plus
- Experience being a team player who can clearly articulate visual concepts and can communicate effectively with a wide range of internal/external stakeholders
- Be a fit for the startup culture (autonomous, flexible, creative, high work ethic)
