Product Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:
As Product Coordinator, you are responsible for all aspects of label and packaging management to ensure their availability to meet customer demands and their accuracy to deliver a consistent brand experience. You will establish and execute efficient processes to guide the work and to ensure proper communication to all parties as it relates to label and packaging changes, version control, inventory management, sourcing, ordering, storage, organization and assembly.

You will work closely with Marketing, Production, Purchasing, and other areas of the company to understand needs, ensure accuracy and prioritize labeling and packaging efforts for all Ralco products. You will maintain the files for all aspects of packaging and labeling.

Key Work duties and Required Skills
Duties may include but are not limited to the duties below:
  1. Promote teamwork, positive attitudes, and process improvement among all members of the team and all Ralco operational and business units and personnel.
  2. Work with product managers, brand managers, and nutritionists to define label and packaging needs.
  3. Coordinate the execution of label content changes including translations, bar codes, etc.
  4. Work with demand planning and international team to understand upcoming order demands to order and track label and packaging inventory as needed. Oversee proofs and approvals to ensure label quality.
  5. Manage label files and ensure all product labels are current and correct for both domestic and international products. This includes ensuring version control and proper organization including product labels, hazard labels, box and case labels.
  6. Oversee creation and edits to labels using graphic designers and making small edits directly where appropriate.
  7. Identify and communicate with label and packaging vendors to maximize efficiencies.
  8. Track packaging or label changes through completion, ensuring proper status communication to all affected parties. Provide production a cutover plan from existing inventory.
  9. Create and maintain the production packaging guide and ensure production has access at all times. Answer any product packaging related questions.
  10. Set and maintain products in ERP system including product name, type, site, brand, size, etc.
  11. As time allows, provide administrative and nutritional support to various departments within Ralco.
  12. In collaboration with your supervisor you will develop a unique professional development plan to ensure that you are pursuing and fulling your professional and personal goals in a diligent and thoughtful manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education:       B.S. in Marketing or equivalent experience
  • Experience:     Graphic design experience a plus and Adobe® Illustrator experience preferred.
  • Competencies: Excellent oral and written communication skills, Customer service focus, Problem analysis and Problem solving, Planning and organizing, Proficiency in MS Office applications, Attention to detail, Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • General:          Satisfactorily complete introductory period per company policy
  • Physical:         The following activities are required as needed to perform the job function; lifting, driving, bending, climbing, carrying and twisting. Confined space entry is not a required job function. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the key work duties.
  • Location:         This position is required to work in a dedicated office space in Marshall or other Ralco Facility.
  • Travel:             This position may require travel between Ralco facilities
