Job Summary
The Accountant applies fundamental accounting practices to support the business needs of Direct Care & Treatment and performs a variety of basic accounting tasks. This includes analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports, reconciling imprest accounts, assisting with month end/year end reporting, supporting processing of information related to purchasing cards, supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable and other duties and functions as assigned by controller.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Oversight of Imprest accounts including monitoring account balances, opening/closing accounts, and reconciliation to ensure accounts are compliant with applicable policies
· Accounts receivable and preparing customer invoices
· General accounting including preparation of journal entries, working with the general ledger, financial statements and related reports to support month end and year end reporting
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years advanced administrative support, paraprofessional, or technical experience performing accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and or/accounting, preferably in an accounting / finance department, which demonstrates the following:
· Accounts receivable and invoicing customers
· Account reconciliation
· General accounting responsibilities
OR
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field
Note: An Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field may substitute for 1 year of administrative support, paraprofessional, or technical experience performing accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and or/accounting

Demonstrated experience:
· Implementing accounting procedures to compile, analyze and interpret information
· Utilizing programs such as Excel and other Microsoft Office programs to prepare detailed documents and complex spreadsheets
· Managing multiple priorities simultaneously to prioritize and meet deadlines
