Job Summary

The Minnesota Sex Offender Program serves people who are court ordered to receive sex offender treatment via the civil commitment process. Program staff provide comprehensive services including therapy, education programming, therapeutic recreation, vocational programming and volunteer services, health and wellness to clients in a therapeutic environment where safety and security are at the forefront of all campus activities.


The Research Analyst uses descriptive, inferential, and other statistical techniques to conduct program evaluation and research at the Minnesota Sex Offender Program. The Research Analyst assists in the development of methodology, project outlines, and protocols as assigned by the Director of Research and Program Evaluation. The Research Analyst also coordinates major data collection activities and quarterly/annual summary reports of program data. The Research Analyst reviews client records from the Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) and other agencies to collect data associated with offense histories, current treatment progression and participation, and other relevant descriptive data. The Research Analyst designs and develops qualitative and quantitative studies specialized in the field of sex offenders. The Research Analyst communicates findings, trends and recommendations to the Director of Research and other MSOP Executive Leadership and/or Stakeholders as requested. The Research Analyst provides technical advice and assistance by directing and/or leading other MSOP professional staff in difficult statistical research or program evaluation studies.
