IS Network Services Professional

The Educational Communications Board (ECB) is a state agency which delivers educational, noncommercial and public safety media to the citizens of Wisconsin.

Position Summary:
The IS Network Services Professional provides services, assistance and support to plan, deploy, and support all aspects of ECB’s broadcast information technology (BIT) infrastructure. In addition, this position supports related ECB technical activities, including specification, acquisition, installation, modification, and maintenance of traditional broadcast/telecommunications equipment and systems. This position reports to the Broadcast IT Manager, however the enterprise-wide integration of this position also requires considerable coordination with, and direction from the OC manager and director of field engineering.

Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will have education, training, or experience in:
1. Broadcast infrastructure systems and equipment IT and networking standards
2. Windows, Linux and Virtual Machine (VM) Server Administrator
3. Basic programming skills (e.g. Systems such as Python, Bash, and PLC ladder logic programs, or similar)

In addition, well-qualified applicants will have experience
4. Managing LAN/WAN architectures and distributed database and data communications technology.
