Registered Nurse - NERCC (Open)

The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2019. The full salary range, including longevity pay, is $25.25 - $38.26 per hour.

Provides general health care supervision, including mental health care needs, to the residents of Northeast Regional Corrections Center.Duties include daily medical and health supervision of all residents, maintenance of all necessary medical charts and files, conducting sick call, supervising dispensation of prescribed medications, conducting entrance physicals, maintaining necessary communication with other facility staff, conducting periodic medical training seminars and workshops for non-medical staff, and coordinating medical needs and delivery of services with the contract physician.These work environment factors are general in nature and may vary depending on the specific position being filled. CONSTANT: Near vision; depth perception; hear within 5 feet; customer/public contact; clients with behavioral challenges and work inside. FREQUENT: Field of vision; visual accommodation; bend neck; feel; grasp; handle; move about; reach; rotate neck; sit; stand; talk/speak; walk; right and left wrist turn; exposure to blood borne pathogens and work alone. OCCASIONAL: Lift and carry up to 10 pounds; midrange, far and color vision; hear within 20 feet; use fingers; maintain posture; reach above shoulder; stoop/bend; taste/smell; twist; work with and around others; and drive.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail):
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to drive between work sites.

EXPERIENCE& TRAINING RATING (Experience & Training is 70% of the scoring process/ Supplemental Questionnaire is 30% of the scoring process):
Points will be awarded for job-related experience and education exceeding the minimum qualifications. Only experience occurring during the ten most recent years will be used in determining this rating. Experience beyond ten years may be included on the application for purposes of meeting minimum qualifications or informing the hiring authority of your complete employment history.

  • Week of May 6th - Interviews to be conducted
