MTSS Site Specialist

Effective immediately, the Human Resources Department will accept online applications for the position of MTSS Site Specialist (three positions). We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. Salary placement is based on education and experience as indicated in the Teacher's Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Job Summary
Lead the implementation of a school-wide multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) model consistent with the district framework to ensure: high quality instruction and preventative interventions, assessment practices are applied across all levels of the system for a deeper understanding of each student’s needs and alignment of resources and supports necessary for each student’s academic and social-emotional success.
 
Job Functions

 
Lead teams in implementing school-wide universal screening systems and use data to guide core instruction, as well as to help identify students at-risk.
Assist teachers and school teams in selecting evidence-based interventions and progress monitoring tools matched to student need.
Work with building administrators to ensure MTSS processes, protocols, timelines and implementation plans are implemented with fidelity and meet the needs of students.
Support regular progress monitoring and data reviews, including reviews of treatment integrity.
Consult with teachers and other school staff to boost understanding and interpretation of progress data to determine if students are making adequate progress and whether intervention changes are needed.
Coordinate high-quality MTSS professional development activities for school employees. 
Collaborate with other professionals as well as family and stakeholders throughout the MTSS process.
Collaborate with MTSS Site Specialists and MTSS Site leadership teams.
Develop intervention inventory.
Partner with district-level MTSS Coordinator and District MTSS Leadership Team to implement the MTSS Framework.
Participate in ongoing MTSS professional learning.
Facilitate Student Assistance Team meetings.
Support the school district’s strategic plan.
Assist in analyzing student achievement data and identifying and implementing school, grade level and subject area improvement plans.
Model the IB Learner Profile with students, families and staff.
Other duties as assigned.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Current Minnesota Teaching license preferably School Psychologist, Counselor, or Reading
Three years successful experience in a school district setting
Experience with implementing and organizing RTI/MTSS models
Understanding of International Baccalaureate programs
Experience working with adult learners of all content areas, including general education and special education
Understanding of best practices in Social/Emotional Learning
Knowledge of State and Federal Special Education Child Find requirements
Well-versed in understanding, analyzing, organizing, and presenting data.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with district staff, community partners and leadership team
Proficient user and trainer of technology
Demonstrated prompt, regular and reliable attendance
