Community Service Aide II

Portland Bureau of Transportation is looking for a motivated and self driven candidate for Community Service Aide II!

This position may perform the following duties: accepts, processes, and issues community event and block party applications for Portland Bureau of Transportation. Explains permit requirements and processes to the public, manages permit database and mapping of permitted locations. Ability to meet deadlines, organize and prioritize workload. May require attending evening, or weekend neighborhood summer fairs to represent PBOT's Portland in the Streets Program. Checks for complete applications, checks notification signatures, issues and distributes permits.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour; no benefits.

Temporary Assignment: May through October.

Note: This is temporary Community Service Aide (CSA) II position with a maximum of 1,400 hours in a calendar year.

 TO QUALIFY:
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
  1. Experience with maintaining efficient work production while providing excellent customer service
  2. Experience in public outreach such as communicating, planning and marketing for public events.
  3. Ability to work independently and able to be flexible and adaptable to shifting workloads.
  4. Experience with organizational practices, standard office practices and procedures.
  5. Ability to utilize various resources in problem solving with attention to details
