IT Operations and Support Analyst III
To be hired, you must pass an extensive background investigation which will include credit, work, criminal history, reference checks, FBI fingerprint clearance, and a polygraph exam.
This is a senior level position. At this level, incumbents are recognized as experts in systems integration. In a leadership role, incumbents apply their knowledge creatively and use their technical expertise to research and create new and innovative ideas for solving the most complex system-related problems.
Example of Duties
- Provides leadership in the design, development, implementation, support, and operation of complex integrated systems solutions
- Oversees and conducts cost/benefit and feasibility analysis to provide recommendations on alternative approaches to the IT needs of the enterprise
- Collaborates on the design and installation of new or enhanced server systems
- Collaborates on the design and development, testing, and implementation of new technologies
- Oversees and performs capacity analysis and planning
- Works with enterprise management, other IT staff, and end-user clients to define system requirement for potential uses of information technologies
- Researches available tools and technologies to determine alternative technology solutions
- Collaborates on research, implementation, and support of multiple computing platforms, operating systems, and processing environments
- Develops and conducts IT training
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (NOTE: Experience must be within the last six years)
- Considerable knowledge of computer trends, software, capabilities and terminology.
- Considerable knowledge of computer hardware and software installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience providing technical leadership on teams supporting large infrastructure projects and operational environments.
- Experience evaluating and advising organizations on advanced technical solutions and operational processes.
- Experience performing cost/benefit analysis and analyzing alternatives.
- Experience assisting with IT strategic planning.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (NOTE: Experience must be within the last six years)
- Experience researching, designing and installing a new or enhanced complex integrated system which included multiple technologies and platforms and the resolution of conflicting goals
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving complex multi-architecture and applications software problems
- Experience and knowledge of server operating systems management (Windows & Linux)
- Experience managing Storage Area Networks
- Experience managing Windows Active Directory/Group Policy
- Experience managing Microsoft Exchange Server (to include 2010, 2012, 2016 and Office 365)
- Database Management/Maintenance Experience (to include SQL/Oracle)
- Experience managing/administering web servers (Apache HTTP/IIS)
- Experience managing/administering VM-Ware &vSphere infrastructure
- Experience managing Mobile Device Management Systems ( i.e. Air Watch)
