Retail Inventory Analyst
Establish and lead wholesale merchandise purchasing processes for the MarketPlace™ retail store at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). Manage relationships with domestic carriers and international suppliers in developing nations, forecast inventory needs, and manage purchasing and fulfillment issue resolution.
Pay, Schedule & Benefits:
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position. Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday during daytime business hours. Approximately 5% expenses-paid local/out-of-state travel is required.

What You’ll Do:
Analyze sales trends and forecast demand based on consumer trends, seasonality and upcoming campaigns/promotions.
Manage the customs process for international inbound shipments. Maintain agreements with customs broker, track and optimize customs expenses, coach suppliers on correct procedures, utilize tariff coding system, create the framework to file shipments under free trade agreements and improve processes.
Determine inventory needs and allocation schedule from receiving warehouse to each sales location.
Negotiate shipping rates with suppliers and carriers. Partner with suppliers and carriers while continually optimizing service and cost.
Prepare and send purchase orders. Reconcile purchase orders with orders received. Negotiate and resolve quantity/quality discrepancies with suppliers. Communicate with suppliers on invoices and submit invoices to accounting for payment.
Assist in developing the MarketPlace inventory budget. Track spend and prepare budget change requests.
Leverage CounterPoint inventory management/point of sale system to execute forecasting, ordering, tracking and receiving. Establish and maintain tracking processes and procedures.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers and internal staff.
Serve as point of sale system administrator. Enter data, generate reports, troubleshoot issues, etc.
Provide monthly inventory, shipping and customs expense reporting to Retail Operations Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of inventory management experience with an international supply chain. Experience with customs preferred.
Advanced competencies with MS Excel (proficient with pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and database systems. Point of sale system experience preferred.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Able to identify, analyze and solve complex problems.
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of detail, accuracy, and follow-up. Able to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Sound judgment and decision-making.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to collaborate with and influence others.
Work location is Coon Rapids, MN. Reports to Retail Operations Manager.
