Product Manager - Construction Hardware

OVERVIEW:

Working as a Full-Time Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing selected product lines within the construction hardware category as well as managing the relationship with the suppliers of those products. This extends from growing the profitability of existing products, as well as developing new product lines to introduce to the company. You must possess big picture vision, and bring new ideas into the development and growth of the business. This would include creating marketing strategies, identifying opportunities to improve Fastenal's position on Construction Hardware, manage supplier relationships, and improve the overall product supply chain. You must possess the ability to communicate with all areas of the company, as you will be an advocate both internally and externally in promoting Fastenal's fortitude in Construction Hardware.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market strategy, working with all departments to execute.

o Developing marketing campaigns for our stores and end-users

o Managing and developing key supplier partnerships

o Working to insure seamless integration of products into our system

o Market development and introduction of new product lines to support key markets

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Strong organizational and time management skills

o Strong knowledge of Excel and related Microsoft Office software

o Ability to travel to both suppliers and customers throughout North America and Asia

o Ability to pass the required drug test (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Business management experience

o Excellent written and oral communication skills
