Entrepreneurship Course Teacher for ESL students in International Youth Summer Program

The English Language Center (ELC), a renowned English school in Boston, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara and is seeking an Entrepreneurship Teacher for our Junior Program hosted in Boston this summer.

Organization Summary

ELC’s Junior Programs welcome over 800 international students between the ages of 11-17 every summer and operate out of 3 campuses across the country:

Boston, MA (June 23rd - August 11th)

University of California, Los Angeles (June 23rd - August 11th)

University of California, Santa Barbara (July 2nd - August 4th)

Our summer programs give students the opportunity to study English in the summer and have fun with other international students at UCLA, UCSB, or in Boston. Offered during June, July, and August our summer junior programs provide students with a 20-lesson per week Semi-Intensive English Course, on-campus accommodation, and daily activities.

Role Description

ELC is offering an "Entrepreneurship" course that will replace typical ESL classes in the morning. This program will only be open to students whose English level is sufficient to begin coursework in English, rather than to continue learning the language. The Entrepreneurship Program will combine academics, training games, and projects to help students understand the ecosystem of a business and how leadership impacts success. The students in this program must develop a business plan that they will present at the end of the two-week course. Please find more information about the Entrepreneurship course at our website. The instructor will teach to the appropriate lesson plans, materials, and teaching guidelines, which will already be developed prior to the summer.

ELC is looking for someone who has completed or is completing their MBA and who is able to teach a series of 2-week syllabi for this program. Additionally, they look forward to working with teen-aged international students.

The course is two 100-minute sessions a day, five days a week, from 9:00 to 12:45.
