Environmental Health and Public Health Specialist
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate passionate about health and the environment who doesn't want to sit at a desk all day! Provides environmental and public health services to residents of Pierce County in accordance with regulatory requirements. Collaborates with other professionals, organizations, facilities and community groups in conducting public health and environmental health programs. Participates in population-based interventions to promote and protect the health of the community and the environment. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree in environmental health, bacteriology, biology or related science. Registered sanitarian or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment, valid driver’s license. Two years’ experience in an environmental health setting preferred. . FT 35 hrs wk; Starting salary $23.77/hr plus fringe benefits. File by 3:00 p.m. on June 14, 2018.
