IT Data Center Facilities Support

OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-Time IT Data Center Facilities Support, you will be responsible for maintenance of the mechanical and electrical infrastructure for our Data Center facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Maintaining electrical power distribution systems, CRAC units, leak detection systems, uninterruptible power systems, air handling units
o Monitoring electrical/HVAC control panels and equipment to assure proper data center temperature and humidity levels.
o Ensuring all data center assets are properly entered into DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management)
o Coordinating with third-party support vendors during scheduled onsite preventive maintenance activities, and validating completeness of work efforts
o Installing and validating equipment, network infrastructure, and supporting hardware in a mission critical data center, while ensuring proper rack/cable/switch/power/cooling metrics are maintained
o Generating regular reports and reviews of facility related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases
o Preparing plans for development and installation of systems/components within the data center according to present and future requirements

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Posses an Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field
o Knowledge of facilities management software systems used in monitoring, managing, and optimizing the operations of a data center
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, prioritizing abilities and attention to detail
o Exhibit strong problem solving and deductive reasoning skills
o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
o Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
o Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
o Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
o Advanced computer and application knowledge (i.e. Visio, Microsoft Office Suite)
o Knowledge of networking for cabling is an advantage.
