OVERVIEW:
Working as a Part-Time Compliance Specialist PT, you will be a strategic link between Fastenal's Procurement, Supply Chain, Product Development, Customers, and Sales Teams. Your main responsibility will be providing first level support for product and supplier compliance needs relative to regulatory and/or customer demands. Some key areas supported by this team include: Environmental or VOC regulations, CA Prop65, Conflict Minerals, Corporate and Social Responsibility initiatives, Supplier Diversity, Sustainability, Federal Cert & Rep packages, FAR/DFAR Country of Origin, Shelf Life, Supplier Creation and Maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Generating periodic and ad hoc reports
o Reaching out to suppliers for data and support
o Supporting interdepartmental correspondence
o Researching regulations and the applicability to Fastenal
o Using PeopleSoft, Internet, and Microsoft Office Suite regularly

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (V-lookups and basic formatting)
o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
o Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
o Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, and decision making skills
o Demonstrate strong attention to detail
o Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
o Ability to work independently and in a team environment
o Possess a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new tasks
o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY).
