OVERVIEW:
Working as a Full-Time IT Support Analyst, you will provide support to Fastenal employees at our Branches on all software applications used in the performance of their job. Fastenal Branch employees utilize a custom Point of Sale system and a majority of the support requests are for this application.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Providing Sales Application Support through phone calls, FastHelp tickets and email.
o Quickly identifying the root cause of a problem and then solving or escalating as needed
o Advanced sales applications knowledge
o Provide solutions for business problems using advanced software tools including databases queries, Excel macros/vlookups, and data import/export programs.


REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess or are working towards a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Computer Science, or a related field OR have equivalent work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, prioritizing abilities and attention to detail
o Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
o Ability to pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Experience troubleshooting technical problems involving software and hardware
o Experience in a technology focused position
o Experience querying databases.
