OVERVIEW: Working as a Full-Time Sourcing Specialist, you will research and complete formal Requests for Quotes (RFQ's). Completing these RFQ's requires you to understand and interpret customer prints, and work closely with sales, engineering, quality, suppliers/manufacturers, and customers. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Researching and completing formal Requests for Quotes (RFQ's) from some of Fastenal Company's largest customers o Working closely with the following groups: Fastenal Sales Teams, Fastenal Product Development Teams, Manufacturers, and Customers o Working within the OEM Fastener Sourcing team focusing on both US and International opportunities REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Strong math aptitude o Demonstrate strong attention to detail o Ability to work independently and in a team environment o Ability to multitask within a fast paced, deadline-driven environment o Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possesses or are working toward a Business related degree o Prior experience in sales or a related industry o Prior experience working with industrial products.
