PSRP Salary Range B23 with a starting salary between $19.83 – $22.06 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Madison College provides a generous benefits including health and dental benefits. The new employee selected will serve a twelve month introductory period. This posting may be used to fill similar vacancies that occur within six months of the closing date.

Hours: This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Monday-Friday: 8:30 am-5:00 pm. Flexible as needed with evening and weekend hours required. Schedule is subject to change by the supervisor.

Organizational Function and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning, this position manages the registration and data tracking system of the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL ). This includes defining the processes regarding the workflow, interface, record keeping, and data management of employee professional development, especially faculty FQAS records. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing communication plans to promote professional development opportunities offered through CETL , as well as maintaining a list of opportunities external to the college via associated CETL websites.

The Communications and Database Specialist plays a critical role in supporting employees in their professional development goals by marketing opportunities, and helping employees register for and track their professional development.

This position reports to the Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning.

Essential Duties:

The following duties are typically expected of this position. These are not to be considered as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

1. Manage the CETL professional development registration and tracking system.

2. Maintain data and records regarding FQAS professional development and CETL services.

3. Develop and implement marketing and communication plan for FQAS and other professional development opportunities.

4. Utilize project management skills to move assigned CETL projects and initiatives forward.

5. Create web presence for CETL in Sharepoint, transitioning current DRUPAL pages.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Demonstrated skill in managing projects with multiple components and stakeholders.

2. Knowledge of web design and/or programming.

3. Highly proficient with MS Office Suite including Access and Visio.

4. Knowledge of social media and its effective use as a marketing tool.

7. Skill in communicating technical ideas/processes to a non-tech audience and vice-versa.

8. Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.

9. Demonstrated skill in working with populations of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and persons with disabilities.

10. Skill in establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships.

Qualifications:

1. Associate’s degree or two-year technical certificate from an accredited institution in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a field related to area of assignment; or two years (4,000 hours) of an equivalent combination of education and work experience directly related to the skills required for successfully performing this position.

• Experience used as an equivalent of an educational requirement is in addition to any experience required for the position. **

2. Two years (4,000 hours) of customer service work experience directly related to the skills required for successfully performing this position.
