Assistant Men's Track and Field Coach/Recruiting Coordinator - Men's Track and Field

Summary of Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Head Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Coach, the Assistant Track and Field Coach/Recruiting Coordinator will coach and recruit high level student athletes with intent on creating a championship level team for both cross country and track and field.

Will be primarily charged with identifying high level qualified student athletes and coordinating recruitment. Coaching duties include assisting with the sprint/hurdle group on a daily basis. Will supply strategic support with all aspects of the Men’s Track and Field/Cross Country program including roster management, policy and compliance, including event and schedule management. Assist with initial eligibility and admittance of student athletes, monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes, financial aid and NCAA rules interpretations.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others..

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning

At least two years of experience coaching or competing in a track & field and/or cross country program

Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning

Five years coaching experience at a division I cross country/track and field program

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of NCAA, SEC, and University policies and procedures

Strong written and oral communication skills

Exceptional organizational, decision-making, problem-solving skills

Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and effectively interact with high energy, intense personalities

 


Salary Information:

$52,000
